"Key Not Detected"?
If the dash says it can't find the key, start with a new coin battery in the fob. Most smart keys also have a backup spot, often near the start button or steering column, where holding the fob lets the car read it even with a dead battery. If a new battery doesn't fix it, the fob may be damaged or have lost its programming. Call us.

Can a used smart key be reprogrammed to my car?
Many smart keys lock to the first vehicle they are programmed to and can't be reused. Some can be unlocked or "virginized." Call with the part number and we'll tell you.
Does a smart key have a regular key inside?
Almost always. A hidden emergency blade opens the driver's door if the fob battery dies. We cut it to match your locks.
